Mary-Christine (M.C.) Sungaila

M.C. Sungaila has been ranked among the top 100 Women Lawyers in California for 13 years by the Daily Journal and an Equality Trailblazer by the National Law Journal. The former inaugural chair of Buchalter’s appellate practice group (one of a handful of female and Hispanic appellate practice leaders nationwide), she is also the creator and host of the Portia Project podcast, which profiles trailblazing and leading women judges and lawyers with the goal of inspiring more women to join the profession and the bench, a project that was named a Finalist in the American Lawyer Media’s California Law Awards this year for Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion.
